You Kept Me
Thank you Lord; you kept me, through all my wrongful deeds, you looked over my faults and saw my needs, yes lord you kept me.
I remember when I was lost in a sea of sin, your love reached out and brought me in. You saved me from my self, clean me up and place me on your shelf. Thank you Father, you kept me.
When I was overseas in that war zone; never believed I would make it home, your love protected me. There was a time when I gave up hope; lost and turned out on alcohol and dope, your love, YES your love kept me.
When loneiness and no companionship tried to set in; depression became my best friend, your holy spirit stayed and comforted me. Father you brought me from a very longgggg way, and I wrote this poem just to say: I LOVE you God, for you kept me.
